AUCTIONS

Heartland Christian School, 28 Pittsburgh St., Columbiana, will have an auction Saturday at the school. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the auction starts at 10. For more information about the auction contact the event chairwoman Jen Wellman at 330-853-5113.

Struthers United Methodist Church, 33 Sexton St., will have an auction March 25. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30. Door prizes will be awarded, and a light lunch will be available.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will have a basket auction April 10. Doors open at 10 a.m., and the auction begins at 12:30 p.m. Early bird prizes are drawn every 15 minutes, beginning at 12:30. Admission of $5 includes 20 tickets, a free bowl of haluski and a piece of cake. Extra tickets will be sold, and the kitchen will be open.

Youngstown Tri-Gold Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will have its fifth annual basket auction April 9 at St. Nicholas Church Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., and drawings begin at 3. The cost for the event is $5 and includes a sheet of tickets, a door prize entry and light refreshments. Proceeds go toward scholarships. Shenango Valley Corvette Club will have a spring classic dance and basket auction from 8 p.m. to midnight April 9 at Yankee Lake Ballroom, 1814 state Route 7 NE, Brookfield. Doors open at 7. Boardman High School Band and Orchestra will sponsor its third annual reverse raffle and dinner from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. Tickets are $100 per couple and include dinner for two, an open bar, a disc jockey and a reverse raffle ticket. There also will be a small reverse raffle side board, a basket raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Tickets may be purchased from any band or orchestra parent. Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., will have a rummage sale from 4 to 8 p.m. April 14, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 15, and 9 a.m. to noon April 16. Lunch will be available. Drop-off times are noon April 10 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. April 11-13.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 1 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 2. Items will be sold for $2 per bag on April 2. There will be bake goods and food sales both days.

Heavenly Tours and Travel is sponsoring a bus trip to see the Broadway play “The Color Purple” March 25 and 26 at Palace Theatre in Cleveland. St. Patrick Church in Hubbard is sponsoring a bus trip to the River Casino in Pittsburgh on April 3 as a fundraiser for the charitable projects of St. Vincent de Paul Society in Hubbard. The bus will leave from the parking lot at St. Patrick School at 9 a.m. and leave for the return trip at 4:15 p.m. The cost of $30 per person includes $15 for slot play and a $5 food voucher. Trumbull County Travel Club is planning a trip to Columbiana County on Wednesday for lunch, shopping and to see the live stage performance of “We Go Everywhere Together.” The bus departs at 10 a.m. and will return around 5:30 p.m. Call for pickup stops. United Local Community Education Department is sponsoring a bus trip to the Southern Tier of Ohio’s Amish Country on March 26. Stops along the trip will include downtown Berlin, the new Walnut Creek Flea Market, a cheese/grocery store and dinner at an Amish-style restaurant. The bus will leave United High School at 7:45 a.m. and return at 4:30 p.m. The cost of the trip is $8 and does not include dinner. Payment is due at registration. UPMC Horizon Medical Equipment Recycling Program will host a bus trip to Mountaineer Casino, Chester, W.Va., on March 26. The bus will depart from the Greenville campus, 110 N. Main St., Greenville, Pa., at 9:30 a.m. and from the Shenango Valley campus, 2200 Memorial Drive, Farrell, Pa., at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $30 per person and include $25 in free play for a five-hour stay.
