Warren man killed in Youngstown tonight

Published: Sat, March 12, 2011 @ 10:43 p.m.

Staff report

Youngstown

A Warren man is dead after he was shot in the head on Youngstown’s East Side this evening.

Police found 20-year-old Tyler Simpson of Dover Street face down on the sidewalk outside 1210 Kimmel St. just before 6 p.m. He was dead at the scene.

A witness told police that Simpson was at the residence when an argument broke out among some of the people inside. The witness said a 53-year-old Campbell man pulled out a silver semi-automatic handgun and began shooting, according to a police report.

Simpson reportedly went outside, and the man followed, shooting Simpson once in the abdomen and once in the right side of the face.

Commander Doug Bobovnik said police are working on finding the suspect, but no one was in custody at this hour.

Can we ask what could have gone so wrong that the only resolution was to pull out a gun and to start shooting, then to only follow them outside to shoot this individual two more times to kill them?

The shame of it all is they probably had a disagreement about money whether it be drug or another illegal transaction, that still does not justify murder, I just don't get it. Are we that far gone that we just don't value a human life anymore than a few lousy dollars?

And no smart_ss, Pass the levy comments Carl, you are getting a little annoying. If you cannot post something constructive be quiet then.

The scanner report said that there was a child in the house as someone was shooting at the house on Kimmel. That wasn't the only gun play tonight. Rapid gunfire call on Woodworth Rd. near Market St. brings police officers from Springfield, Boardman, & Beaver. Five gunfire calls in Youngstown, one consisting of 50 to 60 kids with guns running around in the street. It is amazing how OVERPAID these first responders are. They should have their rights stripped and their pay cut...

Mayor Jay was smokin' something when he said things are improving in Yougstown. This is yet another example of what's not getting better - Hoodrat murders. No need to wonder why white flight continues and the population is decreasing faster then the city's death rate.

"The witness said a 53-year-old Campbell man pulled out a silver semi-automatic handgun and began shooting, according to a police report."

The old dogs in the hood are teaching the young pups bad manners . The young fellow from Warren never had a chance . When they finally collar the old dog I'll bet that he has a long rap sheet with many instances of probation . Jail time gets them off the streets and reduces the carnage .

Real tough, get in a argument with someone, grab your gun, shoot and kill and then run. Useless coward animal. They should all be shot between the eyes.

You call that constructive Carl?

You may leave anytime now? Your new job with endless benefits is waiting for you somewhere else? Oh and I guess Wisconsin is out of the question. Ohio will be next, Indiana soon after? That still leaves 47 other choices for you, Bon Voyage.

I guess my next mission is to out you as you are the new poster child to what is so wrong with the system, you even hate the people that pay your salary?

What an ungrateful employee you have become. Remember there are more of us than you, all we need to do is show the facts of misuse and arrogance to the taxpayers and you have the perfect storm to correct the insane benefits packages that previous trustees have handed out.

But why would they, the other administrators and non union employees compensation and benefits are based on what the arbitrators gave away to the unions? No incentive to keep it in check or to work within the budgets and to project that future expenses from these benefits would not bust the bank.

Now that is a constructive post, let's see if you can follow my lead and leave the hate behind, because I will tell you that i did delete some items concerning you but I felt that they did not bring anything positive to the thread.
