YOUNGSTOWN
The Covelli Centre is expected to announce Friday morning that country music superstar Tim McGraw will come to the downtown arena for a May 6 concert.
Roughly 7,000 seats will be available for the show, although ticket prices and an on-sale date have yet to be released.
McGraw has sold more than 40 million albums and has scored 31 No. 1 singles.
Since the release of his debut album in 1993, he has won three Grammys, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards and 10 American Music Awards.
His most recent release is 2009’s “Southern Voice.”
McGraw, who is married to country star Faith Hill, also has ventured into acting.
He had a lead role in the 2010 film “Country Strong,” with Gwyneth Paltrow, and supporting roles in “The Blind Side,” “Friday Night Lights,” “The Kingdom” and “Four Christmases.”

local news reported at 6:00 that he hadn't been confirmed for the Center yet. they did say Motley Crew will be here, though. hope McGraw will be here. love, love, love him.
