COLUMBUS — The Ohio Supreme Court has set a January 2012 execution date for a man convicted in the killing of an elderly Warren couple 25 years ago.
Charles Lorraine will face lethal injection on Jan. 18, according to a decision released by the state’s high court today.
Lorraine was sentenced to death in 1986 for killing Doris and Raymond Montgomery.
According to documents, 77-year-old Raymond Montgomery and his 80-year-old wife, Doris, had hired Lorraine to complete jobs around their Warren home.
“Lorraine stabbed Mr. Montgomery five times with a butcher knife and stabbed Mrs. Montgomery, who was bed ridden, nine times. Lorraine stole their money and when he spent all of the money that day, he returned to the Montgomerys’ house to steal again," according to court records.

After 25 years, another 10 month wait, that is unbelievable!
Unbelievable, this is nothing. How is Danny Lee Hill still alive after what he's done? Maybe the question is better asked, "why is Danny Lee Hill still alive?' It's time for justice for the Fife family and for all of Trumbull County. Danny Lee Hill must be made to pay for his crime. And the sentence levied must be served - no bargaining for life without parole. Too bad we don't electrocute these scumbags any more. Trumbull County would have shut down the day Danny Lee would have been juiced just to make sure there would be enough electricity in the system. Dennis Watkins, get on the ball and get this chapter closed.
