Youngstown man heads to prison for dealing drugs in Warren

Published: Thu, June 9, 2011 @ 1:40 p.m.

WARREN — Patrick Maiden, 31, of Elm Street, Youngstown, has been sentenced to four years in prison on heroin and weapons charges related to his arrest nearly three years ago in Warren.

Maiden received his sentence in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court on two counts of heroin possession and single counts of carrying a concealed weapon, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property.

Warren police were led to Maiden by another man who was found to have heroin in his possession during a traffic stop on Highland Avenue Southwest Oct. 3, 2008.

The man told police Maiden was his drug supplier and agreed to contact Maiden to come to Warren to sell him the drug.

Police were waiting at a residence on Highland Avenue when Maiden arrived with heroin and a gun and arrested him.

Last fall, the other man was sentenced to one year in prison after failing to complete the common pleas court drug court program.

Patrick Maiden sure isn't being treated very well in Warren after delivering street medication . In Youngstown he was free as a bird and now because of Warrens lack of hospitality he will be a jailbird .
