A two-day concert to raise money for research to help those with cystic fibrosis is scheduled for July 8 and 9 at Buffalo Hollow, an outdoor entertainment facility on Dickson Road in Petersburg.
Thirteen bands, including the Charlie Daniels Band, will perform at the inaugural Niki Feezle Cystic Fibrosis Explosion of Hope Concert.
The gate opens for the July 8 show at 1 p.m. and at 9 a.m. for the July 9 show. Admission is $35 for a one-day pass and $41 for tickets to both days. Tickets are available at ticketweb.com; type “Niki Feezle” in the search box.
Feezle was born Oct. 12, 1985, with cystic fibrosis and was not expected to live a year. But she lived for 24 years, dying July 11, 2010, from complications of cystic fibrosis.
All proceeds from the event go to the Niki Feezle CF Explosion of Hope Foundation, established in her memory and to raise money to fund research so those with cystic fibrosis can live healthier, longer lives.
Comments
I just want to say Thank you to whom ever is setting this concert up. I have a son who is now 26 and also has CF, I thank you for continuing the work of funding for a cure or for patient care, it is greatly needed now that these young people are living longer and longer lives and the govt doesnt want to help adults with genetic disorders or preexisting illness. Im sorry for the loss of Niki, God Bless her and your families...
