Extras needed for film shoot


Paramount Pictures is having an open call for extras from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today for the feature film “Fun Size,” a comedy starring Victoria Justice (star of Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” and “Zoey 101”). The film is scheduled to be shot in Cleveland this summer.

Today’s call for extras will be at the Cleveland Playhouse, 8500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland.

Needed are children age 6 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany extras under 18.

Parents are encouraged to be extras with their children.

The film also needs extras with cars (including a blue Suburban, 1973 Pontiac Firebird, Impala low rider, F-150, “cool” trucks and modified imports.

Bring a photo (if possible in a Halloween costume) and application to the casting call.

U.N. Act plans three events


U.N. Act Productions will have three fundraisers this month, beginning with Youngstown Soul Food, a dinner event with music and comedy, featuring Monica Beasley Martin and Julius Veal, at 5 p.m. Friday at The Lemon Grove, 122 W. Federal St., downtown.

A dance concert and CD release party featuring Brandon Martin and Kid Mental will be at 10 p.m. June 11 at the Lemon Grove.

Admission will be $5 at the door.

A family variety show featuring Nikki Jones will be at 6 p.m. June 12 at The Youngstown Playhouse.
