Published: Tue, July 26, 2011 @ 8:49 p.m.

BOARDMAN

Police are investigating reports of gunfire on Glenwood Avenue in the northern part of the township.

Officers were called to a Forest Park Place residence Monday afternoon when the occupant found three shell casings in the driveway, reports state. The occupant said she heard gunshots earlier that day at about 3:30 a.m.

Police said when they searched the surrounding area they found a vehicle with five bullet holes in it in the southern part of the parking lot at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave. The person who had been using the vehicle said she had parked it in the lot July 4.

Why was a car left in a parking lot since July 4th and not towed?

Since the August Police Levy has recently been mentioned, it seems that every fifth story being reported has been regarding Boardman crimes. "Time to Make the Donuts"..."Time to Scare the Residents".

Please explain how police officers are supposed to stop a random shooting on a parked car? Why didn't the church report a suspicious vehicle >July 4? If you report the abandoned vehicle, then southside thugs can't shoot it up.

Why was it allowed to be parked since July 4th there? Just vote NO Boardman. The police levy is money most don't have to pay.

@could_it_be: it's people like you that we now have to get molested by the TSA at airports. Security cameras would do nothing but harass the ordinary citizens. Big Brother type of government is soon on its way, no need to rush it along

could_it_be :

"Why are we focusing on the parked car instead of the shooters?"

As if the shooters don't have a right to express themselves . We need to be more tolerant to the culture of others . There is a need to redefine crime as a steady act can be defined as culture and decriminalized .
