BOARDMAN
Shoplifting incidents led to felony charges being filed against two people.
A Youngstown man accused of aggravated robbery will remain in jail until his first court appearance Tuesday.
Hubbie Lee McMeans, 49, of Delason Avenue, is charged with theft, aggravated robbery and assault stemming from an incident that began as a shoplifting case at the Southern Park Mall.
Poilce said McMeans is accused of taking purses valued at $460 from Macy’s about 2:30 p.m. Thursday and running out of the store into the parking lot when a loss prevention officer confronted him.
Reports state that the shoplifter then carjacked a man at the Family Christian Bookstore, 7415 Market Street, which is near the mall parking lot, and threatened the car’s driver with a gun.

Hubbie Lee McMeans was simply acquiring some purses to compliment his wardrobe . Now they have taken the purses away that he worked so hard to get . Hubbie will now be forced to do jail time and will not be able to impress his friends with a fashion statement .
Hubbie, your freaking 49, grow up already. Geez.
It's like Stan says. The underclass has no way to fend for themselves, so they must resort to "other than conventional" means to subsist. Stan writes in "eupemisms" but he's still accurate in his comments.
We don't need more of telling people they are "victims" being "victimized" by those who try harder. It isn't okay to steal from others or threaten their lives (use of a gun) to get what they "need".
This kind of story has been prevalent in our papers for decades and will continue until our area's society changes. It isn't the racial makeup that must change; it's the ideas about victimization that have to go.
Look at the kids pictures you see in the paper anymore. It shows them being taught about their history, their opportunities and their being told that if they study and work hard, YES THEY CAN become someone. That's the real hope of this Valley. While I criticize the schools, I still understand they are working to be a POSITIVE influence on the youth of today. I don't accept everything the schools teach them, but they ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK.
But it isn't enough. The COMMUNITY as a whole has to join with the schools to support the positive things they are doing.
See what you started Hubbie?
:-)
He wasn't hindered by a big pile of merchandise, I know that.
Considering the cost of purses from that area, he probably had two or three.
I guess the store is torn between the obvious difficulty of protecting them three steps from the door,
and the chance of tempting every woman who enters.
Me, I get my purses at Kohls.
Shoot....I was hoping to buy those at the Flea Market this weekend...guess I'll have to wait until next weekend.
;)
Hubbie needs a new hobby. He's not so good at the stealin'
Apparently God was not in the parking lot of the Family Christian Bookstore

He can get a gun but not a job, might want to keep dumass locked up. Was he wearing panties, did his high heels trip him up?
Just your typical AA day at the mall.
