Casey Anthony acquitted of murder

Published: Tue, July 5, 2011 @ 2:26 p.m.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A Florida jury has acquitted Casey Anthony of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

Anthony showed no reaction when the jury's verdict was read today after more than 10 hours of deliberations.

She could have received a death sentence if she had been convicted of first-degree murder.

Only in America! Florida? What in the hell dwells in Florida? Runaways, misfits and retired folks...yes, retired folks, thank GOD! The retired ones, thankfully, keep some sense of responsibility and accountability within the state, however, all else runs wild! Regardless of one's problems or occupational failures and misfortune...where do they set out to? FLORIDA! We should, as also with California, "saw off" that part of the US and set it afloat to wherever!

Misfits...they, most all of them, government, law enforcement, industry and even "bandido's" are runaways or past failures from elsewhere!

What a travesty!

Justice for Caylee did not come in the court room. My guess is that it is not over for Casey. She will spend the rest of her life looking over her shoulder.

There are a lot of women that have lost children that they loved very much and they know this broad had very little regard for her child. She partied while Caylee was supposedly missing. It may take awhile for the anger to fester but mark my word, justice will come for Caylee.

That being said, the whole family is dysfunctional!

I agree with redvert. To put it more in bluntly, Karma is as b*****. She didn't get convicted, but her carefree party life is over. People hate her. Doesn't matter if she's innocent. She took down her family, mixed them up in all the lies. Daddy did her wrong. Brother did her wrong. Everybody did her wrong..and who paid the ultimate price? She can live 70 years with this, the stares, comments and despise. Did she win?Doubt it.

As I expected...evidence was lacking, but I really thought it would end up as a hung jury.

What truly is amazing to me is that all who have posted here REALLY believe they know more than the jury. The majority here I would suggest only saw what Nancy Grace and the rest of the horrendously biased jury let them see. I concur that the defendant acted in a sickening manner with regard to her reporting and covering up and the involvement of her family. Truly she is a dreadful person. However from what I see is that people decided she was guilty before the trial. How the f--- would any of you know what should have been determined. I guess you're right the entire jury must have CONSPIRED to determine she was innocent! Those twelve men and women must not be anywhere near as smart of those who disagree with the verdict. Really you folks must be better equiped to judge than those who sawthe evidence. This sicko was never considered innocent until PROVEN guilty. There are great things about living in our country and the presumption of innocence is one of them. The right to a fair trial is one another. Despite the media's attempts to bias that, the jury did that. Classy leftyompton4life is wishing disfiguring diseases, someone said it before, be careful that karma is a b-tch.

The grandparents and Caylee were the victims of Casey Anthony . Life goes on and Casey has two choices . To redeem herself and thank God for another chance at life or to sink further into the depths of hell .

I'm reading everyone's comments and I realized that most people unfortunately don't understand the legal system. Yeah, it's obvious that she did it, HOWEVER, they could not prove how she dies, and without that information that leads to reasonable doubt. It is wrong to convict someone of a crime of if there is reasonable doubt. This law protects the innocent and unfortunately the guilty. Her life is basically ruined now. Just because she isn't going to prison doesn't mean she is off scott free. Her life is going to suck because she basically back stabbed her father, ruined her family's reputation, and everyone in the U.S. that has a television is going to consider her a pariah.

Stan I very rarely agree with and only partially do here, but Im trying to avoid being too righteous.. Again, the jurors disagree with you about Kaylee. She is declared innocent of any of the charges that she harmed her daughter. I agree that she is a very sick person whose parents were tragically scarred by her behavior. I too hope she works everyday to serve them and be aware of the hurt and damage she has inflicted upon them.. Horrible, lousy daughters are not however automatically killers as the jury has made clear.

Bplus---how is it so obvious, I mean really? Every formidable defense attorney I have seen states that there was really NO PROOF thats why she was found innocent. In fact the argument being levied now is that they OVERCHARGED HER! Truly whats the motive ..she wanted to party? Weak. Whats the cause of death? Dont know. When did she die? Dont know. NO PHYSICAL EVIDENCE linking crime. No witnesses. People hated this little sicko so they wanted her to be guilty, but I bet alot of people that post on this board pray that noone accuses them of murder because other people hate them. Stan woulda gotten the chair years ago, just kiddin Stan. We love ya

Lol. Um, I don't really see any concrete statements or questions in that mess of a paragraph you typed up so I'm limiting my response. Maybe obvious is too strong of a word for the cynical, but the way she acted when this all started pointed to her guilt. She didn't report her missing for 32 days, she said some random Latina "babysitter" kidnapped her, and she even lied about her place of employment. She was covering something up...Oh yeah the Google searches about neck breaking and chloroform was pretty insane too.

Maybe we should google search all verdicts. That would save alot of people money on the mandatory classes required for law degrees. Hope you never convict me on my search history, I assure you that would lead to some bizarre testimony, but thats personal.
