U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan will serve on the House Budget Committee, his second appointment after losing his seat on the powerful appropriations committee.
Ryan of Niles, D-17th, was appointed to the budget committee today, a day after being selected to serve on the armed services committee.
Ryan said the combination will provide him with “the opportunity to make sure that the 17th District receives the federal investments necessary to continue moving out of the recession.”
The budget committee establishes federal spending and taxing priorities as well as oversight of the Congressional Budget Office.
