U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown called the House Republican plan to vote Jan. 12 to repeal the health-care package “a colossal waste of time.”
“They’re just playing politics,” Brown said today at the Austintown Senior Center about House Republicans. “I think we need to focus on job creation.”
Brown, a Democrat from Avon, visited with about 80 people at the center to discuss some of the changes to health care that took effect last Saturday as part of President Barack Obama’s health-care package. The package was approved by the U.S. House and Senate, both controlled by Democrats, last year.
But the results of the November general election gave Republicans a majority in the House, effective Wednesday, with Democrats retaining control of the Senate, but with a smaller majority.
Republican House members are to vote Jan. 12 to repeal the health-care legislation. But with Democrats controlling the Senate and Obama, a Democrat, as president, the effort won’t go anywhere, said Brown and other Democrats.

I agree with you dodge2002.
Brown the Clown has conducted himself like this ever since he became a Senator.
He's full of empty promises... he doesn't care about this state or this country or the Constitution. He only cares about himself and his like-minded cohorts (Tim Ryan et al) and that they stay in office..
It's a sad state of affairs what is happening to this country.
Not that the Republicans are any better.
They're all selfish crooks...nothing but highly paid welfare recipients.
Brown still has not noticed what the people were not in favor of obamacare.
Blah,Blah Blah ! Repubs. aren't going to repeal anything. What a dog & pony show! They need to take their heads out of wall streets butt and concentrate on the real issues like jobs, and unemployment.
Isn't funny how Brown wants to focus on jobs when they should have been doing the same thing instead of pushing Obumacare down our throats.
