YSU Shooting suspects arraigned in court

Three men charged in the deadly shooting near the campus of Youngstown State University on Feb. 6 were arraigned in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Columbus Jones Jr., 22, was arraigned on charges of murder and felonious assault and shooting into a habitation Wednesday morning. He pleaded not guilty and is jailed on a $500,000 bond.

Jamelle Jackson, 18, of West Boston Avenue, was arraigned on charges of obstructing official business. His bond of $150,000 was continued.

Demetrius Wright, 19, of West Avondale Avenue, was arraigned on charges of carrying a concealed weapon. His bond of $100,000 also was continued.

The three men, along with three others, are facing various charges in the shooting on Indiana Avenue at a home used by Omega Psi Phi fraternity members. Jamail Johnson, 25, a YSU student was killed in the shooting and 11 others injured.
