Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was the honeymoon destination for Phillip Smith and his bride, the former Shannon Sicafuse, following their 4:30 p.m. Nov. 6 wedding at the Dutch Village Inn.
The Rev. Dr. Terry Timson officiated, and the couple greeted guests immediately after the ceremony during a reception at the inn.
William and Donna Sicafuse of New Middletown are parents of the bride, and the groom’s parents are Dr. John and Phillis Smith of Germantown, Md.
The bride’s white satin A-line gown featured a chiffon split-front skirt and chapel train and was embellished with metallic embroidery.
Apple red gowns were worn by the bride’s sister and honor attendant, Lisa Bryarly, and the bridesmaids, Jodi Liscio, Lori Taylor; and Leslie Smith and Sharon Polk, sisters of the groom.
Eric Funk performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Cory Onweller, Brady Boots, and Bill Sicafuse and Ken Sicafuse, brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Peter Josevski, a nephew of the groom, and ushers were Todd Bryarly, the bride’s brother-in-law, and Andy Bellairs.
The bride, a risk manager with J.P. Morgan Chase of Columbus, graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
The groom earned a degree in political science from Ohio State University and is a district general agent with Colonial Life in Dublin.
The Smiths live in Delaware, Ohio.
