GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Relatives of a South Carolina woman accused of giving birth in a sports arena toilet and leaving her baby there say the woman didn’t know she was pregnant and can’t remember the birth.
Jessica Blackham’s mother told a judge today her daughter has had amnesia since going into a bathroom at the Bi-Lo Center in downtown Greenville.
Police say Blackham gave birth to the 6-pound boy and left him in the cold water. She is charged with child abuse and neglect.
Her mother says Blackham felt ill during a circus performance Friday night and went to the bathroom. She says Blackham can’t remember what happened and later went to a hospital for bleeding.
Authorities say a quick-thinking cleaning crew who found the boy saved his life. Authorities say the infant is hospitalized in good condition.

BULLCRAP! I don't believe this for a second! How convenient to have amnesia coming out of the bathroom, but not before! Thank goodness this little soul will survive - he deserves a better chance at life than this p.o.s. will ever be able to provide!
Yeah, see, you always remember when another human being is trying to exit your body. And didn't know she was pregnant? Your body goes through some pretty serious changes during a pregnancy - it's kind of hard to miss. What did she think that big "plop" in the water was?! Hopefully, the poor little guy gets adopted by a family who will cherish him. Throw this moron in jail!
incredible!!!!
