Campbell native Chris Hazimihalis remained undefeated Friday night with a second-round stoppage of Indiana southpaw William Bokhart in a lightweight bout on the undercard of the Budweiser Fight Night at Morgantown Events Center.
Hazimihalis (5-0, 5- KOs) started crisply, working shots to Bokhart’s body. He knocked him down twice in the first round, then three more times in the second. The wining shot, a straight right to the head, came midway through the second round. Bokhart took a knee as Hazimihalis went in for the attack and the referee stopped the bout.
It was the first bout for Hazimihalis since knocking out Justin Goodall on Nov. 24 in Erie, Pa. Hazimihalis is tentatively scheduled to fight on March 19 in the Pittsburgh area.
