Lordstown plant’s shutdown to continue
LORDSTOWN
General Motors Co. Lordstown will not resume production tonight as originally planned.
The plant, which produces the Chevrolet Cruze, has been on hiatus since Monday afternoon because of a “supplier issue” relating to struts.
Production was expected to begin with Thursday’s third shift, but after further testing of those parts, it was determined the plant is not ready to begin production.
Strut testing will continue.
It is not yet known when the plant will resume production.

General Motors...yet another big government, free market intrusion success story. As the brilliant adage goes, put a government agency in charge of the Sahara Desert, and it will run out of sand!
Well this will make Fair so happy
He will have a super Christmas knowing that his neighbors are out of work. Down with GM ,down with the workers , down with the valley. No end to his hate .
Hope you have a Great holiday happy that your neighbors will suffer.
Out of work? You act as if GM has shut down. This is only a temporary issue due to a supplier problem. And as a matter of fact those GM workers just got a signing bonus with the new contract and they also received a Christmas bonus so don't paint things bleaker than they really are. Not sure how much "suffering" will be endured from a few days off.
Mock has a hard time finding his way to work let alone being a Company spokesman. GM get rid of MOCK!
