Philly cop charged with on-duty rape

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a Philadelphia police officer has been charged with raping a woman while on duty earlier this month.
Police said today that 27-year-old Keith Corley II is charged with rape, indecent assault and related offenses.
The Philadelphia Inquirer says a 32-year-old woman told police that she was waiting for a bus in west Philadelphia at about 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 and Corley offered her a ride, but took her to a nearby park and assaulted her.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has suspended Corley for 30 days with intent to dismiss. He has been on the force for about four years.

I couldn't agree more. Imagine all the time we could save if we could always skip the "trial", "due process" thing based on the four paragraphs we read on a website, Awesome. You should be in charge. You would absolutely have my vote.

What's his excuse? Was he in fear for his life and pulled out his gun? She made an offer he couldn't refuse?
Regardless of anything he, or she may say, he was in the wrong, clear and simple. Cops do not pick up single women with their cruisers. When you do, you place your career on the line. Assault and rape makes this a criminal case against a cop the public depended upon.

Since he wont be employable after this bust, the former crime fighter will become a part of the crime wave . We are sure to hear more about his exploits in the future .
