Susan Stewart of Boardman has been named president of the Junior League of Youngstown. Stewart spent one year as president-elect and served on the board of directors for two years before that.
She is director of marketing and public relations for Humility of Mary Health Partners and has more than 25 years of progressive management experience in health care strategic planning, marketing and public relations.
She was sponsored by Suzanne Fleming of Youngstown and became a member of the League’s provisional class in fall 2007.
Besides Stewart, the new board members for the 2011-12 year are Kara Thompson of Boardman, president-elect; Tara Mandy of Poland, recording secretary; Lisa Demure of Youngstown, treasurer; Fleming, sustainer representative; Kelly Karalee of Boardman, marketing and recruitment; Deb Hurting of Struthers, provisional; Melissa D’Apolito of Poland, research and development; Leah Wilson of Columbiana, training and education; Marion Dunham of Poland, fund development; and Anna Aey of Canfield, nominating.
Other members of this year’s league leadership team follow:

The Youngstown League is a branch of the Association of Junior Leagues International with offices across the United States and around the globe.
To be eligible, a new candidate must be recommended by a current member and spend one year planning and executing a provisional project.
