WARREN
A burglar shot a woman’s English bulldog, causing a grazing wound to the dog’s head, when the dog attacked the burglar.
Two men came through the front door of the home on Brier Street Southeast at 9:28 p.m. Thursday. One of them asked the woman and her son, “Where’s the money?” The dog then tried to attack one of the burglars.
The burglar fired two shots at the dog, hitting it once.
The man then grabbed the woman and took her toward the back of the residence, again demanding money. After she told the man she didn’t have any, the suspects fled out the front door empty-handed.
The woman took the dog to a veterinarian.

Give that dog a big bone, glad the dog is ok wish he would of been able to draw blood for dna.
Unwilling donors and a vicious dog had made this solicitation intolerable for the oppressed duo who were in need . Their being armed prevented a vicious dog attack . This wasted calling will be taken in stride and another donor with cash will be selected . Their funds for sorely needed medication are now in the anticipation stage . Hopefully materialization will occur soon .
Good doggie. Bad thuggies. Maybe next time, and there will most likely be a next time for those two, the home owner will be armed and they'll be taught a really good lesson about home invasion. But then, as so often happens, if they do get shot we'll have to listen as someone tells us how they truly are good guys who are turning their lives around.
As a result, the NRA is pushing for a bill in the Ohio Legislature to give carry permits to dogs. Their bangs will be worse than their bites.
Real scum robbing a woman & shooting a dog.
