Published: Fri, April 1, 2011 @ 2:23 a.m.

SALEM

The Humane Society of Columbiana County 1825 S. Lincoln Ave., Perry Township, faces a minor misdemeanor charge for allowing dogs at its headquarters to bark.

The complaint could bring up to a $150 fine. The case will be heard in Columbiana County Municipal Court at 8:30 a.m. April 7.

Louise Grande, who lives north of the society, filed the noise complaint last Friday with township police.

She said she and her husband, who are both in their 70s, are tired of the barking. Jenny Pike, the president of the humane society, declined to comment.
