YOUNGSTOWN
Brian Vera will replace Daniel Edouard as Kelly Pavlik's opponent for his Nov. 13 bout at Dallas Cowboys Stadium, according to ESPN.com.
The fight will be at 164 pounds.
Vera (17-5, 11 KOs), a native of Austin, Texas, has lost four of his last five fights. Edouard was dropped after concerns were raised about a blood pressure problem.
Pavlik (36-2, 32 KOs) has not fought since losing his middleweight titles to Sergio Martinez in April.

I am so tired of hearing about this no personality hard to understand mumbler soon to be washed up below average athelete. Can we all move on? Just think in 20 years he'll be back pushing kool aid wine on us like boom boom.....
What a complete joke.. (his opponent, the record, etc, speaks for itself)
Pavlik embraces Youngstown and Youngstown knocks him! To me the kid is great. He will find his way again. No one wants to fight him right now but yet he needs work. FInd an opponent knock him out and move on to bigger opponents. You hit the floor get back up and fight to the top.
These same people that knocked him are the same that cheered for him when he beat Taylor for the belt. Middleweight Champion of the world and people that knock him have not done anything with their lives. They think it does not take talent to get where Pavlik was - ridiculous. He loses to a hall of famer and a very good fighter in Martinez in a much closer fight than people give it credit.
Go Kelly- work smart and hard to stay at 160, and keep that same youngstown fight in you and you will get back to the top.
It will take time but all these people that knock you will act like they are in your corner when you are back on top.
True Youngstowners are rooting for you.
I am a TRUE Youngstowner who speaks the truth. He's washed up,he can still be the greeter at his dirty little diner...
Give me a break. Hes fighting a bum,,Kelly went from getting beat up by a ww who moved up to M.W. to now fighting fighters with records of 17-5?? Wow.
HA HA Youngstown is rooting for you....how about no press coverage until the day after to report his loss in Dallas.
I still support Pavlik. He's a local guy! Best of luck in Dallas Kelly!
local looser,best of luck
No doubt he wins this fight. The bigger question is can he fight at 160-164 where he needs to be competitve.
His weight will determine whether he is "washed up".
I personally think he has last one run in him. But I don't have any boxing experience like all of these others posting that he is washed up. Looks like an easy sport watching it on tv.
Doyle2 have you ever been middle weight champ of the world? Mancini is a bum too right? You would have whooped both of them on playstation right?
Kelly is a good dude who deserves a lot more respect from the valley than he gets. Fortunately most of his haters live outside city limits and don't really support anything associated with Youngstown unless they are out of town and want to sound cooler than they are.
Best of luck CHAMP!!
Dole2 - what exactly have you accomplished in your pathetic excuse for an existence sans posting on a local newspaper message board?
Kelly was a middleweight champion of the world. Do you have the slightest idea what it takes to accomplish something so monumental?
My guess is that dragging your fat a$$ off the couch is about as big of an accomplishment as you aim for on a daily basis.
You are a joke. A pathetic, miserable, loser who has nothing other than projecting his own shortcomings on others from behind the anonymity of his computer screen.
My dear Jerry, the truth hurts.Talk to you after the match.
