POLAND

P.J. Stickle scored three goals for the Canfield High boys soccer team, which defeated Poland 3-0 on Thursday. Mike Thomas made three saves.

Alex Magni had seven saves for Poland.

JVs: Canfield 3-2.

Salem 2, Hubbard 0

HUBBARD

Andrew Pietzrak had one goal in each half for Salem (2-2), while Blake Veglia and Ryan Wolfgang had the assists. Pietzrak’s second goal came with 15 minutes remaining. Hubbard is 1-1 (0-1 AAC White).

JVs: Hubbard 3, Salem 2.

Howland 6, Niles 0

NILES

Brad Fields and Connor Gilmour each scored twice for Howland, which took a 3-0 lead in the first six minutes. Ryan Divens and Chris McClearn added goals while Anthony Russo had four assists and McClearn one.

Robert Daniels made three saves for the Tigers while Brennan Lykinns had six for Niles. JVs: 0-0.

Lakeview 2, Fitch 0

CORTLAND

Aaron Huston and Ryan Ellis scored goals on assists by Matt Black and Joey Wilson. Alex Rosowicz added seven saves for the Bulldogs (2-1). Chris Platton had seven saves for Fitch (2-2).

JVs: Lakeview 4-2.

Badger 9, Grand Valley 0

ORWELL

Allen Willey scored three goals for Badger (5-0), while Alex Cook had two assists. Nick Fiest, Ben Meardith, Troy Elsea, Ken Bolyard, Taylor Matson and Sean Dunfee also scored. Tyler Lucy (two saves), Taylor Matson (two) and Willey (four) combined on the shutout.

Josh Stagl (six saves) and Zack Wilson (four) were in goal for Grand Valley (0-3-1). JVs: Badger 4-1.

Bristol 4, Maplewood 1

BRISTOLVILLE

Andy Hoko had three goals, Dylan Rimer one and Chad Oliver added two assists for Bristol. Cody Urso made five saves.

For Maplewood, Tyler Martini scored and Stephen Pop had eight saves.

Boardman 4, Springfield 0

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Heather Hughes scored three and Nikki Hilliard had one for Boardman (1-1). Danielle Petrus had three and Nicole Deley had one. Keeper Debby Donatelli had six saves. Springfield Jillian Tabaka had 28 saves. JVs: Boardman 9-1.

Springfield 0, Columbiana 0

COLUMBIANA

Tabaka had nine saves for Springfield (0-2-1) and Columbiana’s Tori Drago made 22.

West Branch 1, Marlington 1

BELOIT

Brandi Snyder scored for West Branch (1-1-1, 0-0-1 NBC) and Jordan Sutton had the goal for Marlington.

Sierra Woolf had five saves in goal for the Warriors.
