Ryan won’t debate, challenger claims

Published: Tue, October 5, 2010 @ 4:51 p.m.

Jim Graham, the Republican candidate for the 17th Congressional District, said today the incumbent won’t debate him.

“As far as I’m concerned, they’re ducking us,” Graham said of U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th. “I don’t know if my opponent wants to debate me in public.”

In a prepared statement, Hanna Kassis, Ryan’s campaign manager, said: “Congressman Ryan has appeared at numerous public events and has already accepted several invitations to public candidate forums to detail his positions on local, regional and national issues.”

Ex-U.S. Rep. James A. Traficant Jr., running as an independent, would also be invited to participate in the debates, Graham said.

Traficant would defeat them both in a debate...

In a prepared statement, Hanna Kassis, Ryan’s campaign manager, said: Timmy will be cleaning Nancy Pelosi's toe nails next week and then he was going to give her a High Colonic, after that he should have time to ask her for permission to debate the other Candidates. With any luck she will not be having a bad day, so he wont be whipped and slapped to bad, and he should be ready by the end of the month.

I really don't care about what Ryan has to say. They all remind me of shady used car salesmen. I would rather Timmy not waste my oxygen.

Cowardly, just like his sham telephone town hall meetings where his lemmings screen the callers so Timmy wont get tough questions.

Comon Timmy, debate at least once, what have you got to hide??

After all, if you stand behind your votes, at least have the courage to defend them to your employers

Oh come on,..

Why in hell would Tim Ryan want to debate a Jim Graham? That's like expecting Kelly Pavlick to jump at the chance to study fight film with the unknown comic,.. ROTFFLMAO !!!

Jim Graham has campaigned when and where he wanted to. So he's gotten his message out to all those that believe like him and it's a small, small crowd.

Tim has established what his record, position, values and benefits are. So he certainly doesn't need to waste time hashing differences with an old lunatic fringe garden variety Teabagger.

Jim Graham needs to accept his views only play to that gaffe pack of fellow wrong-ways that bought into his old man yells at cloud skit.

If Graham really wants attention and try to make more of a name for himself than his has. I'd like to hear him debate Trafficant. See because it's Graham and Jimbo who's battling for the nonsensical vote,.. so HAVE AT IT FELLAS !!!

Other than that this is a perfect opportunity for Graham to go into his cone of silence. So he'll be forgotten about again so he can take that campaign money he gaffled out of his gullible audience.

Thus devise a way to be more careful spending it for personal expenses than ingrates like Christine O'Donnell. Marc Dann and a host of other panhandlers did.

Would Jim Traficant emerge from hiding for a debate? He's been lying low for quite a while now. Also, what ever became of Jim's Indian casino? All he needed was a mere $100 million to get it off the ground. I'll bet all his loyal supporters gave him their life savings for this worthy project. All that money, some mysterious and unseen Indians, and Jim Traficant. What could possibly go wrong?

You are so right about the stupidity sotired, just read your post. Timmy is nothing but a lap dog for Nancy Pelosi, he never has answered a question I've asked him, and I'm pretty sure he never will, so why would he debate, he might have to answer a question. Ask him why he voted to send millions overseas to refurbish mosques, which is the equivalent of sending jobs overseas. He is a joke.
