YOUNGSTOWN — Police are investigating the beating and robbery of a 47-year-old man outside his South Avenue home.
According to reports, the man was standing outside his South Side home at 11:40 p.m. Monday when five male teens, believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, got out of a minivan and began beating him. The group then took $150 from the man’s pockets and fled.
Reports say the man was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center’s Boardman campus for cracked ribs and bruises.

'Tis the season...
Rage! Rage against the dying of the light!
I reiterate....Nuke the southside
that good old tribal nature again
Uugh, now if he had a gun and would have shot a few of em , he would be the one in sitting in jail...
The 47 year old male will not be charged since none of the juveniles were injured by his belligerent attitude to sharing his wealth . These youngsters will now be able to buy momma some Christmas Crack Cocaine so she can enjoy the upcoming holiday .

"No if the man robbed was armed and shot them I believe there is nothing the PD or anyone could or would do."
I wouldn't bet on it . If you shot any of these juveniles you would be charged . Kill any and it would be a murder charge . Just remember Jimmy Hughes runs YPD and he fired two officers on a complaint after they made an arrest of a drunk who wrecked his vehicle . As for what a jury would decide, the chances of acquittal would be against you . Your best bet would be to just scare them off and leave as fast as you could .

I'm waiting for a valid test of it here in Youngstown .
