Pet Expo this weekend at Eastwood Expo Center

Staff report

Doris Straka, an animal communicator, will be the special guest at the Northeast Ohio Pet Expo on Saturday and Sunday at Eastwood Expo Center, behind Eastwood Mall.

Straka will help owners with a variety of pet issues, from sources of pain and changes in behavior to overcoming bad habits and more. She will give seminars and also one-on-one sessions.

The expo will offer pet owners and pet lovers the chance to learn more about their pets and be exposed to different products and services.

Trainers, retailers, groomers, pet-food manufacturers, pet resorts and lodges, pet- service specialists, apparel makers, photographers and animal charities (including Angels for Animals and Animal Charities) will be represented.

A photographer will be on hand to take holiday pictures with pets and their families, and a pet fashion show will be at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Animals will be exhibited and available for sale or adoption.

Admission is $5 (free for children under 12 and pets). Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Pets are welcome as long as they are friendly to other animals, and owners are responsible for them at all times.
