Annual Turkey Trot


The third annual Grand River Valley Wine Region Turkey Trot will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. It’s a drive-yourself wine-tasting tour paired with food samples. Participating wineries are Debonn Vineyards, Ferrante Winery and Ristorante, Grand River Cellars Winery and Restaurant, Laurello Vineyards, and St. Joseph Vineyards, which are all within 10 minutes of one another. Each winery will feature a different part of the Thanksgiving meal and will pair two wines that complement it. Recipes also will be given out. The cost is $5 per person ($4 with the donation of a canned food item for local food banks). For more information, go to

Free piano concert


Caroline Oltmanns, professor of piano at Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music and an international Steinway artist, will perform a free concert at 8 p.m. Monday in Bliss Recital Hall on Wick Avenue.
