YOUNGSTOWN
The homeless man beaten by South Side teens last week was scheduled to be arraigned this week in Youngstown Municipal Court for causing a disturbance at a fast-food restaurant, but no one seems to know where he is.
Police were called to McDonald’s on Fifth Avenue Monday to handle a man said to have been yelling at staff and refusing to leave the restaurant.
Officers went to the restaurant just after 8:30 p.m. and found Thomas Boddie, 58, at the restaurant causing a disturbance. Police reports say Boddie had been warned on two previous occasions in October to stay away from the McDonalds property.
Boddie is charged with criminal trespass. Police said once he was taken into custody, Boddie continued to be difficult with officers — even spitting at officers before being booked into the county jail.
Boddie was given a date to appear in court and released from the jail, but never showed up for the hearing. City Prosecutor Jay Macejko said a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Nice fellow ! Truly a fine addition to any neighborhood .
Hmmm lets see Stan. Homeless, beaten, kicked out a place probably just trying to find some food and warmth. And now good old big brother is putting its boot on the mans neck. GOD BLESS THE USA
This guy is truly mentally ill and needs to be somewhere he can't hurt someone or himself, and keep him from getting arrested. But it's no one's priority to keep the mentally ill safe and supply them with the medication they need, so they keep getting arrested and don't have the culpability to go to court. It's a broken system that will never change.

Woolyd
Yes . USA seems good at punishing failure & weakness .We only have to look at the condition of Youngstown City & the symbolism in the the wealthy suburbs taking their clean water from Youngstown & sending their "waste" back to Youngstown in return .
However , many other rich countries don't punish those at the bottom & those countries remain rich . I wonder why this is ?
lanacek, not disagreeing with you, just curious, what rich countries are you referring to?
As far as the water issue goes, at least Ytown is getting something in return!!!
Is Ytown the only city in the USA that sells water to it's suburbs or are you just whining for the sake of whining?
@Redvert- AMEN!
Did they really think that a homeless man would show up fot court? What a bunch of fools.
