Dirt-track racing resumes on Saturday
The 6 PAK Saturday events at Sharon Speedway continue this week with Modifieds, 410 Sprints, Big Block Modifieds, E-Mods, Limited Sprints and Hobby Stocks on the 3/8 -mile dirt oval.
It will be the second night of points racing for 6 PAK Saturday at Sharon Speedway. On May 1, Alan Dellinger won in Pro Stock and E-Mod divisions. Also recording their first wins of the season were Jason Scoville in Limited Sprints, Scott Bonnell in 410 Sprints, John Shannon in Hobby Stocks and Del Rougeux in Big Block Modifieds.
Tickets are $13 for adults ages 14 and older, $5 for teens from ages 9 to 13 and kids 8 and under are free. Saturday will be Armed Forces Day at Sharon Speedway, so active military members and veterans will be admitted free. It’s also Crawford County School night, with students showing their report card at the track admitted free.
Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing to start at 6 p.m. Parking and camping are free.

Mercer Raceway Park
Mercer Raceway Park resumes action Saturday night with a full five-division program — 410 Sprint Cars (for $1,500 to win), Modifieds, FASTRAK Late Models, Stock Cars, and Mini Stocks. Race time is 7 p.m.
All kids 12 and under will receive a ticket when they enter the gates that can be redeemed for a free hot dog, bag of Herr’s potato chips, and a drink.
Hometown racer and two-time Sprint Car winner, Mike Lutz, has a four-point lead over Week 2 winner Ed Lynch, Jr. and just a five-point leader over Bob Felmlee, who has yet to finish worse than fourth in his heat race or feature this season.
The Sprint Cars will not only be competing for a region-high $1,500 to-win plus a Goodyear Tire again Saturday, but four additional Goodyear Tires also will be given away.
