BOARDMAN — A Youngstown woman faces a robbery charge, accused of fighting with loss-prevention officers at JCPenney.
Patricia Hunt, 42, of Radcliffe Avenue, is to appear next week in Mahoning County Area Court. There were warrants for Hunt’s arrest for failure to appear in court in Austintown and Campbell and for drug offenses in Hubbard.
Police were called about 5 p.m. Monday to the store at the Southern Park Mall on a report of a shoplifting suspect in a physical fight with store-loss prevention.
Store employees told police that Hunt had concealed clothing in her pants and left the store without paying for them. As a loss-prevention officer approached her, Hunt ran, the officer told police. When he caught up with her again, she began to fight with him, he told police.
Comments
She should have hit up a store in Austintown, they would have let her pay the bill and come back another day to try again. As far as open container, unless there is a roadblock deal where they can be big shots with their buddies, that is all good too.
"drug offenses in Hubbard."
Patty spent all of her money on drugs in Hubbard and couldn't afford to buy clothes . If the Hubbard drug bust was sooner she may not have been forced to steal . She will be given probation as the jail will be cutting back in the number of clients it serves .
