Police charged Van Barnette, 31, of 740 Broadway, with endangering children Friday morning after his 23-month-old son was discovered in the home at about 9:45 a.m. with second-degree burns on his right hand. When the boy’s mother came home, she noticed the burns and saw the child crying and took him to St. Elizabeth Health Center, police said.
Barnette told police the boy defecated in his diaper and got it on his hands, and Barnette washed them with warm water and dish soap. When the child’s mother came home, she saw the boy’s red hand and heard him crying, so she took him to the hospital. The doctor who treated the boy advised calling the Mahoning County Children Services Board because the burn would not have been caused by warm water and dish soap, even if his skin is sensitive.

Take this dad(idiot) and burn his hands so he could see how it feels. Maybe it will teach him a lesson, but I doubt it.
How terribly sad....
There are so many physically abused children in our out of control, irresponsible, God-less society, that it's doubtful Obama's health care takeover will be able to manage all the added expenses involved in treating the multitude of abused children who at this time are not being brought in for treatment, because of lack of health care Ins, but will in the future be brought in for treatment of abuse, when health care is free.
Jessiedavid.....so it's better that this multitude of abused children remain silenced behind closed doors because of lack of health ins???
"....so it's better that this multitude of abused children remain silenced behind closed doors because of lack of health ins???"....
Great shame on anyone for even remotely suggesting that.
We collectively live in a God-less society, and that's why child abuse is among our society's God-less out of control atrocities.
