Rep. Wilson will vote for health care bill

Published: Fri, March 19, 2010 @ 12:48 p.m.

U.S. Rep. Charlie Wilson, D-6th, said today he will vote in favor of the health-care bill.

The U.S. House will vote Sunday on a bill similar to one approved by the U.S. Senate in December. The two legislative bodies will reconcile the differences in the two bills.

“This bill is not perfect, but it is a strong step forward,” said Wilson of St. Clairsville.

Wilson, who is anti-abortion, said he gave serious consideration to the possibility that the bill would fund abortions.

“I am confident that the language in the Senate bill ensures that there will be no federal funding for abortions,” Wilson said.

Wilson’s congressional district includes all of Columbiana County and a portion of Mahoning County and portions or all of 10 other counties.

Thank you, Charlie Wilson. With courage in short supply these days, and truth even harder to find, your courage and conviction in the face of Republican lies and fiction is refreshing. Again, thank you.

When Charlie first ran for the seat, he didn't even know that Mahoning County was part of his district so he had to have the Mahoning County Democratic Socialist Party conduct a write-in campaign for him. Who is Charlie Wilson? Just a "yes-man" for the party. I don't think he has it in him to come up with any real ideas. Vote for a change in November; Vote for the Vet! Do it while you still have a couple of dollars in your pocket. Obama's coming for the rest!!!!!!!

Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Illinois, agreed to support the House health care bill after meeting with Obama and discussing immigration reform.

"After extensive discussions with the president, I believe we have a health care bill I can vote 'yes' for, and I believe we have a commitment to move forward on a comprehensive immigration reform package as soon as possible," Gutierrez said in a statement Thursday.

Wilson is a wasted paycheck like most people in the Congress. His staff never knows where he is at, they never return phone calls and you won't see him again until he comes begging for money for his re-election. I hope the people are smart enough to vote this poor excuse out of office. But then again, the people of this area keep re-electing the same idiots time and time again and nothing ever changes for the better.

USA1: You're not much of a real man, or should I say a gentleman...you're a school yard bully, and when people disagree with you, you insult them. Sorry, but you ARE a drama queen, and quite a nasty queen at that! But don't worry...when you wake up on Monday morning and health care legislation has passed, and abortion is still legal, I promise you the world won't come to an end.

I sleep very well at night knowing my rights are protected in a free and Democratic society, thank you very much. Health care reform is long overdue and I'm glad President Barack Hussein Obama led the country to Sunday's historic vote. Hey, enjoy your next Tea Party. What do drama queens wear those those parties anyway?
