The unemployment rate for the Mahoning Valley rose to 14.2 percent in January, said the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
It was up from 13.4 percent in December and 13.3 percent in January 2009.
“Places are still closing down, and we’re still getting layoffs, cutbacks and closures,” said Bill Turner, administrator of the Trumbull County One-Stop.

Exal hires often. Maybe people should check there.
You mean it isn't really morning in the Mahoning Valley? I thought the positive thinkers were crowing about the V&M star 350 jobs and the 200 call center $8/hour jobs in downtown? The valley is a dead entity. It needs to educate its citizens, kick out the unions, and clean up the corruption before any employers of note will relocate here. The area needs 100,000 good paying jobs, not a few hundred barely above minimum wage!

Republicans are misguided unpatriotic morons who sent the jobs overseas to make a quick buck at the expense of our countrymen.
How about hiring some US military veterans who give you the right to enjoy your freedom.
Rush Bimbo sure shoots his mounth off for being a draft dodger.
He's going to leave the USA oh no what will we do!!
