A Youngstown City School Bus driver lost control of his bus this morning coming off Sixteenth Street onto Blossom Avenue in Campbell and came to a stop between two homes on Blossom after crossing a lawn.
No students were on the bus when the mishap occurred at about 8:30 a.m. and the driver was not injured. The student had been dropped off at St. Joseph the Provider School on Porter Avenue about a block away from the accident scene, said Anthony DeNiro, assistant superintendent for business affairs for the Youngstown City School District.
DeNiro said there was minimal damage to the bus, the driver side mirror was knocked off, and to the home at 521 Blossom, a down spout was damaged. He said the school district will repair the home and the lawn that was damaged.
The mishap, which at this point looks like a freak accident that the driver said was caused when his foot got caught between the gas and brake pedals, will be thoroughly investigated.

Told them not to buy a dang Toyoter bus.
Either this bus had the gas pedal of a Toyota or the power steering of a Chevy.
Geeze what that hell happened?!
Hope the driver didn't spill his beer. How does this happen?
More and More Bus Accidents. They let ANYONE drive them. Either that. or they are MORE and MORE careless.
There's a bad glare in the picture, can anyone make out the bus #? It looks like a 10 to me. Just wondering, I think it's my son's former bus driver if it is bus 10.
Is it delivery or is it DiGorno's?
He probably hit one of the hundred pot holes in Campbell.....the roads are a mess!!!!
Those nasty Campbell houses are a hazard to bus traffic !
