The number of students from Mahoning and Trumbull counties participating Saturday in The Vindicator’s 77th annual regional spelling bee at Youngstown State University’s Kilcawley Center in the Chestnut Room. The top prize is an all- expense-paid trip to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., at the end of May.
