Austintown
Police cracked down on several businesses on North Canfield-Niles Road for liquor violations.
Pilot Travel Center, Brudders Wood Fire Bar and Grille, Winston’s Tavern and Certified Oil all received citations from Austintown police late Monday.
The violations stemmed from serving or selling alcohol to underage customers, police said.

about time, now what about the bars selling cocaine in thew back
Ugh oh,..
Along with saying that's a shame and those citations. Should be the immediate suspension seizure of those licenses to suspend their ability to sell alcohol.
The double conundrum is here again there's more problems being revealed in the " Scruburbs ".
Clearly somebody is into making drunks and dope heads out of the kids. Who's no doubt trying to find ways to cope with mom and dad problems.
Which now there's certainly no trying to pass the buck or blame the culprits as being other than locally based, supported and home grown criminality.
Does the Austintown jack booted ticket writers ever report what bars or off site places properly carded and ordered their stoolie out?
3 bars busted......only about 150 more to go.
4 bars, my bad.
Wonder why they only went after the places at the truck stop? Why not head on over to Gossip or Sammy's and see how many truly get served and do something over there.
I wonder if these underage were under 18. As far as I am concerned the drinking age should be 18 - when you are a legal adult who can vote, get married and die in Afghanistan. Otherwise, make 21 the age for these things too.
It's time to lower the legal drinking age to 18. We spend all this money educating the kids in high school about the dangers of all this stuff but they ultimately have to decide. I have let my kids drink in my house since they were 18 and they respect the dangers of alcohol. You can't keep it out here like a carrot on a stick. But, for kids 18 to 21, they really have no place to go and socialize. At least I had draft beer when I was 18.
