The students at the Canfield United Methodist Church Preschool celebrated the end of the school year in style at a picnic at Greasel Park May 28.
Moms, dads, grandparents, siblings and friends were all invited to have some fun in the sun at the park. Students and their guests were instructed to bring a sack lunch and the school provided cake and ice cream for everyone.
“This picnic reminds me of a family reunion. We have all been coming and going, catching a glimpse of each other occasionally and this picnic affords us the opportunity to catch up with each other.
“Today, I have heard of many wonderful blessings in these families’ lives. They are all wonderful stories that encourage us in our walk of faith. Truly, this picnic has been a time of celebration,” said Carole Bogar, Canfield United Methodist Church Preschool administrator.
Children from all three classes at the school played together on the playground and talked of play dates over the summer, making sure to exchange phone numbers.
Some of the students will leave the Canfield United Methodist Church Preschool behind and see each other again in the fall for kindergarten at Hilltop Elementary School or C.H. Campbell Elementary School. Some will meet again next fall back at the preschool.
