CLEVELAND (AP) — A fan wearing a Miami Heat jersey of LeBron James drew the ire of the crowd at a Cleveland Indians game and was escorted out of the ballpark.
Fans in the left-field bleachers chanted obscenities and pointed at the man Wednesday night during the sixth inning of the game between the Indians and New York Yankees. Hundreds of fans joined in before security led the man out of Progressive Field.
As he left, some fans followed him toward the gate with more derisive chants.
James' recent departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Heat caused a lot of anger in the city.
Many fans were near the left-field foul pole in hopes of catching the 600th home run ball by Alex Rodriguez.

what a bunch of crybabies.....get over it.
The man made his choice. It's over, so move on.
i wish there was more details to this story. did he get kicked out of the game just because of the jersey he was wearing? if so, that's pretty low. or was he escorted out after the game? grow up, cleveland.
i was there... this guy had no business wearing that jersey to the game, what he think was going to happen? He thought he was going to be funny but Cleavland fans are the worst ever and kept pouring beers on the kid and his girlfriend even when the police were helping them out of the stadium. His girlfriend started throwing punches and was very enertaining. They didnt get kicked out the got helped out so they didnt end up beaten
Good for the Cleveland fans, that type of behavior should never be tolerated.
Spectators should be segregated by which team they root for. I love throwing my beer at a Steelers fan when he's bought a ticket that's surrounded by home fans. What they should do is give the visiting team a section of the stadium, and if they're going to show up outside of that section with their jersey on, then they're shown the door (for their own safety).
You don't wear that jersey into a cleveland stadium, period. You are asking for trouble.
no, the type of behavior that should never be tolerated is idiots getting physical over sports teams. you're not showing your cleveland pride by attacking someone wearing an opposing jersey. you're showing you're an idiot.
