Attempted robbery at knifepoint on Midlothian

A 25-year-old Boardman man told police a man tried to rob him at knifepoint on Midlothian Boulevard on the city’s South Side.
The Boardman man said he was walking near Lucky Seven, 1396 E. Midlothian, around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when a tall man pointed a kitchen knife at him and told him to empty his pockets. When the Boardman man refused, a second man grabbed his throat from behind and threw him to the ground, according to a police report.
The first man jumped on top of him, held him on the ground and began to slash at him with the knife, cutting his arm and face, the report states.
The Boardman man broke free and turned to defend himself, but the two attackers fled east on Midlothian without completing the robbery.

What the hell, broad day light on the sidewalk and no passer bys saw a thing? I agree, totally uncivilized, it's really not safe over there (southside) at all. I hate even going over there, yes what happened to the Zero Tolerance? They came out in May for a few weeks I haven't seen nor heard anything else about Zero Tolerance since.. smdh

Once again the AA gangstas of Y-town are showing their true color once again. The lack of family moral values and respect for law & order don't exist here. Just more of the same over and over again.
If you do not wish to carry a gun, get a German Shepard...the ugliest one you can find. Don't walk alone, you are just asking for trouble. A dog can be a good deterrent because the felon cannot trust what the dog will do and they have an absolute fear of being bitten.
For what it's worth. I wonder the credibility of the 25 yr. old alledged victim. Just strolling down Midlothian on a hot summer Sunday afternoon by the Lucky 7. As one poster previously mentioned. No witnesses??? Midlothian is pretty busy on any given day...
I lived on Midlothian from 1980 to 1982. It was a nice place until around 1983. I got out of there in 1982 and joined the Navy. I still have family in Youngstown/Struthers and when I come back to visit family in the area it keeps getting worse. It’s very sad how the area has deteriorated. I am so glad I got out of there and away from the sub-culture.

I just love how the entire South Side is always generalized as idiots, uncivilized crack addicts, and gangsters by some racist a88holes on a daily basis! Makes me understand that nothing ever really changes.
I'm a South Sider born and bred! And no, i'm not defending these wastes of space one bit, but I will speak for those once again who actually give a damn. Don't generalize and entire town based on two idiots! It's not fair to those who are trying to make a difference in their neighborhoods and totally pisses away any progress that is being made.
The South Side is bad, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.
P.S. This story doesn't add up. LOL!
