LeBron booed at ESPY Awards

Published: Wed, July 14, 2010 @ 11:48 p.m.

Drew Brees was the big winner at the ESPY Awards, collecting four trophies, including male athlete of the year on Wednesday night.

LeBron James was booed when a montage of male athlete nominees was shown. He didn’t attend the 18th annual awards.

Meyers zinged James’ decision to leave Cleveland as a free agent and sign with the Miami Heat.

“Did it really need to be an hour?” Meyers said. “Somebody time me. Miami. How long did that take? A second.”

Penguin, it's just not the Cleveland Cavs fans that are disgusted with Lebron. It seems alot of people are sick of his Big Ego & Cowardness on the way he handle the situation leading upto his announcement. It's pretty bad when your peers have bad things to say about you.
Lebron has gone from King to Court Jester in alot of people's eyes!!!!!

He will be booed for some time to come. The man has no class. It is time to move on.

I feel that the people boycott when the heat comes to town to play.

And when Sydney Crosby becomes a free agent he has every right to sign where he wants. Lets say he, meets with the Capitals, Rangers, Islanders, and Penguins overa week. Then he has a hour long special to announce his decision and he announces he is taking his talents to the nation's capital. (would probably never happen cause no one cares about hockey, hence half their championship games are on a low rate cable channel). I am sure PenguinPoop would not be so understanding.

I'm not even a basketball fan and I'm disgusted by what he did. Very low class and I can guarantee no other free agent in any sport will do what he did. That was nothing but a pitiful display of human ego.

What part don't you understand? No one cares he went to Miami, it's how he went about it. No class. As a pro athlete you don't do that.

He may have every right to play where he wants, but fans have every right to hold him to the guarantees of a championship he gave cleveland and his image of being a loyal person. He does owe Cavs fans, they are the ones who paid to watch him play, bought his jerseys, drank what he told them to, wore what he wanted them to. He built a fan base and then turned on them. Cavs fans have every right to be ticked at Lebron.
