Ohio teacher in harassment case claims hypnosis

WASHINGTON C.H., Ohio (AP) — An Ohio school district is trying to fire a teacher accused of sexual harassment who claims her male accuser had her under a hypnotic spell.

The Miami Trace school board in southwest Ohio’s Fayette County this week began the process of terminating elementary school art teacher Cindy Hart over the co-worker’s allegations.

The board said in a resolution that Hart made unwanted and inappropriate advances toward the man.

According to documents in the case, Hart claimed the school employee had “covertly hypnotized” her, which made her write romantic letters to him.

Hart, who has been with the district about 10 years, has been suspended without pay and benefits.
