Obama blames politics for delay on immigration

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama today blamed immigration policy gridlock on “political posturing and special interest wrangling.” In a speech, Obama took Republicans to task, in particular 11 GOP senators who supported recent efforts to improve the immigration system. He did not name any, but told his largely supportive audience at American University that those lawmakers had succumbed to the “pressures of partisanship and election-year politics.”

All the idiot politicians need to do is enforce our existing laws, but no....they all want to give the illegals amnesty. How stupid do they take us all for??? This goes for Republicans and Democrats alike. CLOSE THE FREAKIN BORDER AND RID THIS COUNTRY OF THE ILLEGALS....How simple is this. They can find a cow out of thousands with mad cow disease, yet they can't find the illegals....give me a break!!!
i have a customer in CA ,two mexican guys started working for this business in 1970,nine years later they bought the business-with no help from anyone. the're great guys-kept their mexican heritage but completely assimilated into american culture -how much of the problem with illegals stems from the fact that their illegal
but these guys wouldn't of been able to do today what they did in 1970-they're good people,who came here,worked-eventualy got green cards-weren't criminals-as a matter a fact their doing fairly well for themselves-homeonwers,family -college educated kids-that's what i mean if illegals were allow to asimilate they would.
Any person, of any ethnicity, race, heritage, and gender, can succeed in this country. All it takes is dedication and commitment.

No one doubts that most illegal aliens are hard working, otherwise law-abiding humans. But a sovereign nation must have borders that it screens who comes and goes. Because someone is effective at breaking the law (crossing the border), they shouldn't be rewarded with the benefits of citizenship. The reasons are innumerable (safety, drugs, national security to name a few).
There comes a time when the country needs to get some sack and crack-down on the border. Our patrols shoot a known drug dealer and they get slammed in jail. It's all the Politically Correctness that nauseates and infuriates me to no end. Why do we kneel down and kiss so much tail? It's OUR country, why pacify illegals?
In 1913 my father was born of legal Slovak immigrants who at the earliest age encouraged him and the 8 siblings that followed to be Americans. They discouraged the use of Slovak and mandated that their children would be Americans through and through. Six uncles and aunts served during WWII, one died and is buried in Arlington. Why do Mexicans need to come here and maintain their heritage? We should have taken the whole dammed country during the Mex/Am war, then there would be no question.
