YOUNGSTOWN — This is the season for angels, and several of the visions in white were sighted at the Junior League of Youngstown’s traditional Angel Ball, which took place Dec. 26 at the Lake Club in Poland.

The highlight of the biennial event was the presentation of seven angels and four male honorees, daughters and sons of league members, who will assume future leadership and volunteer roles.

They were formally introduced to 175 guests as Michele Grant, league president, read their names to a trumpet fanfare by Taylor Leonard of Poland.

Each young woman wore the traditional white ball gown with white gloves and carried a nosegay of lavender roses tied with pewter satin ribbon.
