PASADENA, Calif. (AP) — Ohio State’s bowl woes are over, thanks to a sturdy defense and a quarterback who finally played up to his enormous potential.
Terrelle Pryor passed for a season-high 266 yards and two touchdowns, rushed for 72 more and threw a 17-yard scoring pass to DeVier Posey with 7:02 to play, ending the No. 8 Buckeyes’ three-game BCS skid with a 26-17 victory over No. 7 Oregon in the Rose Bowl on Friday.
Posey had eight catches for 101 yards, and Brandon Saine caught an early TD pass for the Buckeyes (11-2), who put together a remarkably fluid offensive performance in their first trip to Pasadena since 1997.

Great game!
Good game.
GO BUCKS!
Well I'm glad that I can't call you worthless nuts anymore ! Very Impressive I must say. But the question that needs to asked is can they play and beat the S.E.C.?Where football is king !
I kept hoping the Buckeyes would not give up the big play and they did not. We had some luck on some plays, but the defense really came thru.
Pryor was really careless with the ball, but only had one interception, no fumbles and really kept Oregon scrambling. Good execution. Excellent teamwork. Ohio State out-played the Ducks at their own game. Great game!
The key was to keep the high powered offense of Oregon off of the field and that's exactly what the Buckeyes did. Tressel may use an unexciting ball control game at times, but this time it worked! I wonder if Oregon had faced a patient, stubborn and grind it out type of team like Ohio State this year. I'm sure it can be tough to face a team like that and it seemed that Oregon was getting a bit frustrated at times. Plus it didn't hurt that they seemed to underestimate Pryors deceptive speed. Or did they overestimate their ability to contain him? Anyway, a nice win by the Bucks. Now, will Pryor stick around or enter the draft?
The difference in this game was Tressel actually changed up his usual Big Ten like game. Oregon was loading the box with 8 and 9 guys and challenging OSU to pass the football. The fact that Pryor passed for a SEASON HIGH 266 yards was the difference along with his ability to scramble. Still in the fourth quarter and the Bucks up 2, it looked like Tressel was going to settle for a field goal to go up 5 when he unleashed Pryor to Posey for what was the winning TD. Had Tressel settled for the FG, I see Oregon scoring a TD to win and the calls for Tressels head would have continued in Columbus.
As for Pryor going pro? Not a chance. He isn't even close to pro ready.
