SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — A northeastern Pennsylvania man who attacked a Secret Service agent with brass knuckles and a chunk of asphalt will spend at least four months in prison.
Kenneth Kile, 25, of Kingston was sentenced today to four to 21 months in prison for the June attack on Agent William Slavoski.
Police say Kile attacked Slavoski after the agent saw Kile driving erratically and stopped his truck on an expressway. Investigators say Kile threatened Slavoski then attacked him as the agent tried to get out of his vehicle.
Police say Slavoski suffered injuries to his face, head and arm.
Kile pleaded guilty to simple assault and other charges as part of a plea agreement.

Kenneth Kile should have gotten a minimum of five years in the slammer for his attack .
You are so right Stan. This turns my stomach. You know the slug will be let out after serving the minimum amount of time. When when Judges start giving violent offenders maximum time? Oh, maybe he won't ever hit anyone ever again. Right.
If either of you had read more on this maybe your opinions would change. A 58 yr old attorney who witnessed the entire event, and agreed to testify said the agent initiated the assault. Think about it, why would someone who assaulted a federal agent only get 4-21 months unless there wasn't something right. Please collect information and don't be so ignorant before tossing your opinions around.

Your so right ! It was ignorant to give him 4-21 months ! He should have gotten at least sixty ! If I was the agent and he came at me with brass knuckles Kenneth Kile would have spent some serious time in Pennsylvania's health care system . There is no excuse for attacking law enforcement or civillians with brass knuckles .
Kile, who told police he was stopped at stop sign when he heard a siren, said Slavoski walked to the side of his truck, spit on him, identified himself as a law enforcement official and told him to get out of the truck. When he got out, Kile told police, Slavoski grabbed him by throat and punched him.
Ok, I guess it wasn't fair to post the above statement as if it were fact. This is just an excerpt from Mr Kile's account. Neverless it was a controversal case because it involves a law enforcement agent who has a confrontational reputation. So while I agree that under normal circumstances it would be improper to attack law enforcement, that just may not have been the case in this particular incident
