No Surprise; more snow on the way

Published: Mon, February 15, 2010 @ 10:36 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning Valley should get another 4 to 9 inches of snow from about noon today to early Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service expects 1 to 3 inches today starting about noon. The snowfall will be heavier tonight with 2 to 4 inches of new snow, according to the weather service forecast.

The snow isn’t expected to let up Tuesday with 1 to 2 inches possible, according to the forecast.

Snow is also likely for Tuesday evening and Wednesday. There is also a chance of snow showers Thursday. While the forecast calls for Friday afternoon to be partly sunny, there’s a 30 percent chance of snow that evening.

There is also a chance for snow on Saturday and Sunday.

Except for Feb. 8, it has snowed every day this month in the Mahoning Valley, according to weather service records.
