Parents of man accused of murder also in jail

Published: Mon, February 8, 2010 @ 12:21 p.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — It is going to take more than $300,000 in cash to get the parents of a man charged with the murder of an 80-year-old woman out of jail.

John Houser, 46, and Frances Cianciola, 42, parents of Jamar Houser, the suspect in the Jan. 23 murder of Angeline Fimognari at St. Dominic Church, appeared today before Judge Elizabeth Kobly of Youngstown Municipal Court on felony retaliation charges.

They are both in the Mahoning County jail.

John Houser told the court he had no income and was in fact just released from jail less than 24 hours before being arrested on the retaliation charge.

Prosecutors told the court Houser’s criminal history includes aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and domestic violence.

Judge Kobly assigned him a court-appointed attorney and set bond at $250,000.

Cianciola told the court she receives only public assistance for her grandchild. Prosecutors told the court that she has no past criminal record.

Judge Kobly also assigned her a court-appointed attorney and set bond at $100,000.

Police arrested John Houser and Cianciola on Friday afternoon after they reportedly threatened a witness in the murder case against their son.

Jamar Houser will have his preliminary hearing on the murder charge and whether the case will be sent to the county grand jury later today.

BooHooHoo. Should have made better decisions growing up and rasing your child, maybe your son wouldn't have ended up like his dad.

I'm surprised she never went to jail for making threats before she finally got caught. They both are to old to be doing this ignorant childish stuff.
