UPDATE: Latest forecast calls for up to 14 inches of snow Monday in Valley

Winter storm warning remains in effect for the Mahoning Valley until 7 a.m. Wednesday.

The warning means the region will experience significant severe weather that could be a threat to life and property.

The newest National Weather Service forecast calls for snowfall up to 14 inches Monday in the Valley.

Here is the latest National Weather Service forecast for Mahoning and Trumbull counties for the next several days:

Tonight: Snow. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches. Much colder with lows around 18. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Becoming west after midnight. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Monday: Blowing snow. Snow may be heavy at times in the afternoon. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Much colder with highs around 19. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Monday night: Blowing snow. Snow may be heavy at times. Additional snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Lows around 13. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Tuesday: Snow may be heavy at times. Additional moderate snow accumulation. Highs in the lower 20s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.

Tuesday night: Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Lows around 12. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: .Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Highs in the lower 20s. Wednesday night...Mostly cloudy. Lows around 10 above.

Thursday: Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 20s.
