YOUNGSTOWN
Police officers serving a search warrant on a South Side residence Friday found the man they were looking for, plus lots of drugs and flat-screen televisions.
Officers found Leon J. Whatley, 37, of 618 W. Prince-
ton Ave., in his bathroom flushing something down the toilet, his hands wet and pills in the bottom of the toilet, when officers broke into the home at 3:20 p.m. Friday.
Officers also found a prescription pill bottle containing a baggie of crack cocaine and a baggie of heroin. A white powder was seen around the toilet and bathtub, police said.
A further search revealed three surveillance cameras, fortified front door, drug paraphernalia, other pills, several digital scales, marijuana grinder, baggies of marijuana, and eight flat-screen TVs valued at between $1,000 and $2,500 each.
Police recorded the serial numbers of the TVs.
Whatley was charged with a variety of drug offenses and taken to the Mahoning County jail.

The hood is abuzz and aflutter
The shout of police came without a stutter
They were the grinch
It was a cinch
This was the hood
It was understood
The law when they showed
Forced life in the hood to be slowed
Jingle pills,
Jingle pills,
Jingle pills away,
Oh what fun it is to flush
Jingle pills away!
Worlds most expensive toilet bowl cleaner!
If they only the cops would shot more people resisting arrest on these raids.
Finally, the police chief & mayor are doing something that will actually curtail crime. Much better than stopping over a thousand cars to get 59 DUS...
