Ursuline wins state title again

CANTON — The Ursuline Irish have achieved their primary season goal: win the state title for a record third-straight time.

The Fighting Irish had an impressive end to their season with a 51-21 victory over Coldwater in the Division V state championship game.

Akise Teague scored five touchdowns — four rushing and one receiving — and the defense held the Cavaliers to three scores.

The victory gives Ursuline its second perfect season in three years, and third state crown in the past four.

I don't understand why Tressel hasn't made Teague an offer??? Just baffles me, sounds like he's a smaller Clarett.

Tressel was there, as I got a picture of him on my phone, however I am hearing Teague will not get an offer due to his size.

I think Akise will end up at Wisconsin or Cincinnati from what I hear.

this will be tressels loss if he lets this kid get away. from everything i heard he is a great kid on and off field and osu hasant had a good rb in a while and they are worried about his size? word is wisconsin has upper hand because of tressels coming late to the wooing game. he would be nice to have when a real team like nebraska joins the big ten

Clarett wasn't huge either and look what he did as a frosh. If he goes to Wisconsin they will monkey stomp the Bucks again.

@ysu grad you hit it right on the head.it isnt like boom herron is real big and he doesnt have teagues explosiveness either. can you imagine him behind wisconsins perennialy huge offensive line. they will killl osu . i hope tressel thinks about this long and hard

Clarett was 5'11 234 pounds entering Ohio State. That is a beast with speed.

Teague is listed at 5'8 178 pounds. Quite a big difference.

Teague would put on 20-25lbs before he leaves OSU for the pros, how big was Barry Sanders? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Sa...

5'8"

Thank You

I genuinely hope Teague does well at every possible level he attains, but don't go comparing him to Barry Sanders or assume he is going pro. You lose any semblance of discussion capabilities.

I think he ends up at Cincy as a Bearcat and leads them back to the promised land.
